Freedom from the Illusion

I need to apologize to my regular readers for being away from the blog for the past several months. Like many others, the fast pace of world events has felt overwhelming, constantly occupying time and attention. For the first time in this career, severe writer’s block took hold. Time away became necessary to reset and return stronger.

During the break, a few books in the genre were read, along with exploration of what else exists in Sci-Fi, Fantasy, and Supernatural Fiction, as well as in movies and series. What emerged was quite disturbing. Much of the material portrays a dystopian landscape where most of the world lies destroyed. People have been stripped of their money and belongings, left to wander aimlessly as nomads among the ruins, simply trying to survive day by day. This wasteland is usually ruled by a handful of power barons who wield power ruthlessly over the helpless. Yikes! If suicide wasn’t already on the mind before reading some of these books or watching these movies and series, it might surface afterward.

The general view of UFOs and life on other planets also leans heavily negative. These stories almost always portray other life forms as far-advanced malevolent beings whose only aim is to destroy the Earth and humanity—for no real reason. What’s the point?

There is firm belief, without a doubt, that other life exists in the universe. As mentioned several times before, it would be complete arrogance to think otherwise. Yet there is also belief that, just as on Earth, both good and evil forces operate out there. The idea that most of these inhabitants are grotesquely ugly, as they are nearly always portrayed, simply doesn’t sit right. What if they were just like us—or in some cases, perhaps even more appealing in appearance? This alternative view rarely appears in print or on film. Is it any wonder these other life forms haven’t made contact yet? Why would they, when they see themselves viewed in such a negative and biased light?

When the Branchview Series was written for Large Lion Entertainment, the goal was to incorporate beliefs about the universe, along with views on Earth’s origin and how humanity evolved to the current circumstances. Prophecy was woven in, along with stories from the Bible, mythology, and the findings of Ancient Alien investigations that are all too often misunderstood. The battles of good versus evil were highlighted—the kind that generally make for a compelling story. Most of all, a hopeless landscape where people no longer laugh, communicate, or fall in love was avoided. Instead, the story creates a world where people truly live life, rather than simply exist in the squalor of their circumstances. Finally, the aim was to wake readers from the illusion that evil forces here on Earth have convinced the population to believe—and subliminally accept—for far too many generations. It’s time to become aware of what they’ve really been up to all along.

More of these truths will be touched on in Part 2 of this blog in the coming month. These same truths are also covered further in the pages of the Branchview Series, embedded within an entertaining storyline that is sure to get readers hooked.

If the ideas here resonate and a story that blends hope, truth, and adventure sounds appealing, the Branchview Series is available now at Large Lion Entertainment. Whether looking for an escape that actually uplifts or a fresh perspective on the bigger picture, these books deliver both.

For those who feel like helpless victims of the present circumstances in the world, this bit of advice is offered: Always seek knowledge, and look to the alternative view of things. Until next time, reject the negativity that is forced down the throat by politicians, the news media, and entertainment. There is a light at the end of the tunnel. There is hope. And a happy ending is always possible for those who dare to believe.
